(For example: an MP3 player. See the list of compatible listening devices.)

Once the software has been installed, click the ‘Download’ button back on the ‘Download’ page and follow directions.
It will take many minutes for the book to be saved to your computer. Watch the status bar at the bottom of the OverDrive Media Console for the progress of the download.
Once the book is downloaded, you may listen to it on your computer by:
o double clicking on the file name for the first chapter in Windows Explorer
o or – open your Windows Media Player and click on the book title
You may burn the book to CD by following the instructions on your CD burning software or in the Windows Media Player.
3. Synchronize the book to a compatible listening device
(for example: an MP3 player). See the link above for a list of compatible devices).
Many media players have two ways to accept files from a computer. Make sure that your player has the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) mode set. With a Sansa player, select Settings / Mode / Plays for Sure. For other types of players: If you know that you have downloaded the files (you can see them in the player’s folder), but cannot see them listed on the player, try the other mode from the one that was previously selected.
Connect your player to your computer through a USB port.
Open Windows Media Player and find your book listed in the library.
Drag the book to the right panel to create a playlist.
Click on the ‘Start Sync’ button or select ‘Sync … to ….player’ on the Sync menu at the top of the Windows Media Player screen.
When your sync is complete, you may listen to your book on your media player. On the Sansa player, the book goes into the ‘Music’ directory.
